Continue
to gather and share stories that reflect the Good News
of carrying forth The Church in the City vision. |

Provide resources
for prayer and reflection based on The Church in the
City vision.

|
|
|
Initiate
a Diocesan Social Action Leadership Institute. The
Institute mission is to continue educating Catholics and
other interested persons about the social mission of the
Church and to call forth leaders to empower others to
participate actively in the work of social justice and in
the implementation of the vision of The Church in the
City. |
Enroll
in Institute programs.(see Calendar of Events). |

Provide educational
opportunities about the spirit and content of The
Church in the City through the universities, colleges,
schools and formation programs in the diocese. Courses,
workshops, talks and discussion groups are being planned
for students, teachers, members of professional groups,
parishioners and those in ministry. |
Utilize
resources being provided. Additional information will be
circulated as it becomes available. |

Initiate
a Youth in the City summer experience being
coordinated by the CYO and Young Adult Offices in Akron
and Cleveland. It is modeled after the urban plunge and
intended to deepen awareness, sensitivity, empathy and
commitment to the social justice and service mission of
the Gospel. |
Encourage
youth to enroll in this week-long experience of learning,
prayer and reflection. (See Calendar of Events.) |

Promote
participation in urban neighborhood celebrations
such as the Cleveland Bicentennial Caravan
projects which offer opportunities for people from
throughout the metropolitan area to experience tours and
festivals that will feature the cultural diversity and
gifts of people, and the rich history, unique
architecture, and historic landmarks of their
neighborhoods. |
Attend a
neighborhood celebration with your family or as a parish
group (See Calendar of Events.) |

Provide
opportunities for positive interaction and learning that
deepens an awareness and appreciation for
multicultural diversity.

Learn
about and participate in a scheduled gathering. |
