Certificates for Semiconductor Packaging students

October 15, 2021 – On October 11, the first students of the Semiconductor Packaging University Program received their certificates.

Minor at HAN

The second edition of the program started on August 30 in hybrid form. Several students attended the program live, other via live stream. Joop Bruines, education consultant at CITC, was pleased to welcome different students. “Last edition, most of our students were people already working in the semicon industry. The program is now also offered as a minor at HAN University of Applied Sciences. Several HAN students and students from other universities of applied sciences have now also attended the course. It was nice to have a variety of people present.”

Varied program

The first part of the university program contained several guest lectures provided by business experts. Joop: “We covered a wide range of topics such as biochips by Enzyre, laser dicing by ALSI and simulation software by MSC Software. These lectures have helped to bring the more theoretical parts of the program to life.”

Company visits are also part of the program. The students had the opportunity to visit the premises of CITC, Ampleon, Nexperia and Pink RF. “Students had the opportunity to see what the theory looks like in a business environment”, comments Joop. “They could ask questions to experts and in some cases work on a small practical assignment. The company visits are the icing on the cake in this course.”

On October 11, the last lectures of the theoretical part of the program were given. Afterwards, the business students received a certificate for attending the course. The university students will continue the next part of their minor which consists of practical assignments.

Third edition
