Jeroen van den Brand – MT member
Jeroen van den Brand holds an MSc and PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Delft University of Technology. He started his career at FujiFilm in Tilburg on the development and production of offset printing plates. Later, he moved to Holst Centre where he was involved in setting this up and where he fulfilled various roles over the years. He has been department head at Holst Centre for several years now. In addition, Jeroen holds a part-time professorship at Ghent University. At CITC, he is part of the management team.
Mark Luke Farrugia – General Manager
Mark Luke Farrugia is a Canadian-born Maltese, who has been living in the Netherlands for more than 15 years now. He graduated in engineering from the University of Malta and immediately joined the semiconductor industry. He started as a process engineer in STM’s Malta assembly plant and later joined STM’s Package Development center in Grenoble, France. In 2007, he joined NXP in Nijmegen, where he worked on several pioneering innovation projects and was very active in the transition from gold wire to copper wire. In 2020, he joined Nexperia’s Package Research team. As of March 1, 2023, he started a new chapter at CITC.
Marco Koelink – Business Development Manager
Marco Koelink holds a PhD/MSc in Applied Physics from the University of Twente and an MBA from Tilburg University. He has a diverse background within among others Philips and NXP in the semiconductor industry (front end and back end), display technology, solid state lighting, medical and industrial equipment. His previous roles include Business Development Manager for Boschman Advanced Packaging Technology, Development Manager for NXP RF Power, Director Materials Analysis for Philips Research and Market Intelligence manager for Philips Lighting. As a Business Development Manager within CITC, he is currently responsible for sales activities.
